Charles R. (Jake) Paul, Jr. has worked as a general practitioner at Paul, Fleming, and Paul, then Paul and Paul, in Geneva, AL, before joining Ludlum Law Offices, a social security disability law firm. Since 2012, Jake has been primarily practicing bankruptcy law with Rafael Gil, III.
Jake is a native of Geneva, Alabama. He graduated from Dartmouth College, an Ivy League school in Hanover, New Hampshire in 1971 with a major in History, and a minor in French. Prior to attending law school, he served two years in the U.S. Navy. Jake earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law and earned a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from Portland State University School of Urban Affairs.
Jake worked for a Portland, Oregon, land-use lawyer, gained experience as a city planner in Multnomah County, Oregon, and as a planning coordinator for Yamhill County, Oregon. After his time in Oregon, Jake returned to Alabama to engage in his family’s law practice, while working as a French teacher on his lunch hour.
Jake Paul considers himself to be a lifelong learner. Jake enjoys reading history, biography, and other non-fiction. For a change of pace, Jake enjoys riding motorcycles.
